Whats the impact of this *stuff* on the efforts to legalize cannabis

I have to say I agree with the ban on this *K2* stuff. I personally do not want anything synthetic and there seems to be some crazy stories going along with this stuff that IS NOT indicative of my reefer experiences.

But don't you think the average citizen lumps this together with our natural, God-given plants?

Governor Signs Bill Outlawing Synthetic Pot
K2 will be illegal in Missouri in late August.

O'FALLON - Gov. Jay Nixon has signed a bill that makes
synthetic marijuana known as K2 illegal, effective Aug. 28.

Nixon signed the law Tuesday at the St. Charles County Sheriff's
Department. It makes K2 a controlled substance, with possession
punishable by jail or fine. Nixon will also sign the bill later
Tuesday in West Plains.

The law bans synthetic compounds that are sprayed on dried herbs
and flowers and often sold as incense. The product produces a
marijuana-like high when smoked or inhaled. It is sold in smoke
shops and gas stations around the state.

Missouri becomes the fifth state to ban synthetic compounds that
mimic the effects of marijuana.
